Time, why are you so cruel?
Today you should stand still
People going about their business,
Like nothing has changed.

When we want you to move quickly
You pass in slumber
Anguish and pain left
Too long to linger.

Your movement too swift
When there are moments
To cherish,
People to love.

Time, please do not fade
Our memories,
Our thoughts,
Our loves.

Then maybe we will cherish you
As we cherish those that have gone,
Those that we share
Those that we love.

Time please be understanding.
